Zigview S2 viewfinder live preview for digital SLRs

Via Engadget (my main source of gadget porn :)

DSLRs have the unfortunate aspect of not having the "live preview" on the LCD that most of us digital photography amateurs know and love (See Wikipedia for an explanation of why).

I’ve gotten used to it with my D70S and don’t really mind it anymore, but occasionally run into a need for it (awkard angle shots, some kinds of macro shots, etc.). The linked product seems to be an interesting way of providing this live preview, though it is quite expensive at $466. Expected to be released in October in the UK. I haven’t seen any reviews of it yet.

  1. DSLR Camera. An important tip to consider with photography is that photography is one case where you might be at the mercy of the tools you use. This is important to consider because there is only so much you can do with a non dSLR camera due to processor and lens limitations. Invest in a DSLR camera. The single best thing you can do to improve your photography is to purchase a good camera. A digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera allows you to use lenses specific to the type of photography you are pursuing, and offer the ability to control every setting.`
